Created in 1905, the Sporting Club of Bastia has left its fiftieth year of professional French football to get to National 3 (fifth division of the French football league system) after a bankruptcy.

Thanks to the campaign launched by the association “Socios Etoile Club de Bastia) and to Claude Ferrandi who took over the Club gathering thousands of supporters, the SC Bastia has picked itself back up.

The Club has started over on solid bases with new players fully invested in the ascent of this great Corsican club!

Considered as the rebellious club of the Professional French football league, the SC Bastia still gathers, during its games in Furiani, thousands of supporters, whether they are of Corsican origin or of adoption coming from all parts of Corsica.

What embodies the club, created in 1905, in the Corsican society and what place does it have in the French football?

How did the SCB, which the budget was at the bottom of the ranking of the first French league, compete and keep its level against a club like Paris Saint-Germain, financed by the Qatar of up to 480 million Euros?

This documentary of 52 minutes “Simu tutti Turchini”("We Are All Blue") questions the equity in the sports industry and the values that professional football carries in a growing globalization.

Concerning the Director, Marianna THIBOUT-CALENDRINI

Director, socios, brought up since her earliest childhood to football games thanks to her grandfather, professional player, Marianna has always been interested by this . She is subscribed to the club with her two young children. Director for over ten years, she wants to bring out in this movie the importance of the SCB and what it represents in our society by giving all the protagonists the floor : supporters, players, trainers,the little “turchini”, the association “socios”, the well-known cineaste Ken Loach who made a movie about football and came to visit us in Bastia last march, Radio Sporting, Jo Bonavita “the memory of the Club”.

“Simu tutti Turchini” will be an anthem to the glory of the Sporting club of Bastia.
